Play & Explore Outdoors

With heartfelt thanks to our dedicated board members, ABC families, the city, and our amazing community, we’re proud to share that our dream of an outdoor play space has come to life.

ABC Nursery School is grateful to have a large outdoor space for the children to learn and play in. There is a wealth of discovery and learning that can happen in the outdoors. We think of this
space as our “outdoor classroom” – an environment that hosts a whole world of imaginative play, exploration, creativity, connection to nature, and fun.
We understand the benefits of gross motor play (large body movements) for children such as running, climbing, balancing, and riding bikes on our track. But, the outdoors also provides
many opportunities for quieter discovery too. This project is an example of our school’s values and shows how community comes together to create a safe, joyful environment where children can explore, grow and thrive through play.
